Description

Who We Are:

Pollinator Pathway was founded in 2017 as a local grassroots movement that has since grown to become the National Pollinator Pathway, www.pollinator-pathway.org. Our work is to encourage a network of more than 365 Pollinator Pathway communities across the US and Canada to reverse declines in pollinator populations through collaboration and education and to grow our presence nationally and globally. We support urban, suburban and rural communities by encouraging them to plant native plants, avoid the use of pesticides and work together to connect a pathway of healthy habitat for pollinators across their neighborhoods, towns, counties, the US and beyond.

This role involves managing outreach initiatives, organizing online events, and fostering partnerships to support the Pollinator Pathway’s mission and programs.

  • The Community Relations Manager will play a crucial part in maintaining the excellence of our online presence by way of our website and social media, and by providing a public face to our initiatives.

    • Assist in maintaining our robust website as the primary tool for educating and engaging all levels of interest in our mission.
    • Assist with website audit, ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and optimal user experience.
    • Build out tools and resources for targeted toolkits (posters, signs, brochures, logo updates).
  • Onboarding of New Community Organizers:
    • Retrieve and respond to voicemail and email messages promptly and efficiently providing information and directing calls to the appropriate individuals or partners.
    • Facilitate the onboarding process for new community organizers, ensuring a smooth integration and understanding of our organization's goals and values.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Assist in the updating and implementing of the Pollinator Pathway Strategic Plan to pilot the organization’s short- and long-term growth.
    • Streamline communication internally among the Board of Directors and externally across the various national regions.

Qualifications:

    has worked with.
  • Strong understanding of environmental issues and, ideally, pollinator conservation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
