Communications Coordinator, Renewable Energy

Based
in The HUB in San Francisco, missionCTRL is a communications firm that works
with companies in the clean energy and new space sectors.

Position Overview: 

missionCTRL
seeks a driven Communications Coordinator (CC) who is focused on entering the
field of public relations & marketing and has a keen interest in clean energy
(solar, wind, efficiency) and space technologies.

The ideal CC will have strong
interpersonal and communication skills and is eager for the opportunity to work
within these industries. We value creativity and sense of humor and expect the
CC to be self-directed, proactive and detail-oriented.

Previous
PR internship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Research: media, events, competitors, business models, social media avenues
• Write: pitches, press releases, speaking and award submissions, marketing collateral
• 
  Manage:
  client logistics, social media avenues, action items

Qualifications:

• BA in English, Communications, Journalism, Business/Marketing or a related
  field
• Previous public relations internship and/or some media relations experience
• PowerPoint,
  Excel, WordPress skills a plus
• Articulate
  and able to write creative and compelling copy
• Self-starter
  that is detail-oriented, and highly organized
• Interest in energy, sustainability and space
• Thrives
  in fast-paced, vibrant environments
