Position Overview

Existing knowledge of and experience working with GHG accounting and emission reduction and/or decarbonization programs is essential. The successful candidate will also have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Technology and economic feasibility assessment

Emissions modeling and analysis
-
Greenhouse gas emissions inventories
-
Greenhouse gas emission reduction strategies with a preference for experience in the transportation sector

Climate planning
-
Grant and incentive programs
-
Program design and delivery
-
Leading or supporting analyses of strategies and scenarios to reduce greenhouse gas, toxics, and criteria pollutant emissions.

Leading or supporting report development and stakeholder engagement efforts.
-
Leading or supporting planning studies (e.g., transportation electrification) for government and utility clients.
-
Developing and analyzing forecasts of technology and clean energy penetration for GHG reduction technologies (e.g., electric vehicles).
-
Staying current and connected the greenhouse gas reduction/climate action planning market, including trends, policies, key players, and more.
-
Leading or supporting the development and deployment of communications, outreach, and training resources, including case studies, webinars, in-person events, presentations, and other opportunities.
-
Interacting with clients, stakeholders, and ICF leaders and project teams.
-
Support development of proposals for climate change mitigation and transportation efforts.
-
Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning, environmental studies, energy, public policy, or a similar field.
-
2+ years of professional work experience in climate change, greenhouse gas emission reduction, clean air, or clean transportation (not academic related including internship, fellowship, volunteer, etc.)
-
Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams, and consider staff resources, schedules, and budgets.
-
Exceptional quality assurance/quality control methods and execution.
-
Experience building and managing client relationships.
-
Familiarity with carbon accounting and inventorying, climate change mitigation, and relevant regulatory or policy programs
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Organized, detail oriented, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under strict deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Flexibility and sound business ethics.

Master’s degree in transportation planning, environmental studies, energy, public policy, or a similar field.
Compensation
- There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
- The pay range for this position is: $58,161.00 - $98,873.00
