With more than ten thousand individual supporters and 150 corporate and organizational partners, including Dell, Lancome, Orbitz, Working Assets and the National Wildlife Federation, Carbonfund.org is a rapidly growing non-profit organization. Carbonfund.org supports renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects globally.
We are seeking three junior-level Climate Change Specialists to assist with the development of our programs.
The Climate Change Specialists will assist the development and implementation of our educational, carbon reduction and offset, and communications programs aimed at individuals and businesses. The CCS's will assist our program for individuals, including developing outreach and fulfillment systems, assisting with educational outreach, email; businesses, including developing new partnerships; and outreach, including assisting with our media relations, blog presence, newsletter, website, etc.
The positions have considerable overlap, require a team approach to solving problems and accomplishing tasks and provide an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience in the emerging climate change sector. The positions are also an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with involvement in all aspects of a non-profit organization.
Requirements
* Bachelors degree, Masters a plus
* 1-5 years experience
* Excellent organizational skills
* Excellent writing skills
* MS Office required, Web-based software, Photoshop, Java a plus
* Good public speaking skills
* Knowledge of climate change
*Must be a team player able to react to the needs of an ever-changing organization
* A passion for the environment and solving our climate change crisis.
