Position Overview
The Climate Change and Energy Issue Leader provides leadership for programs designed to inform the public of clean and efficient energy programs, and preparing for, adapting to, and building resiliency to climate change. Key responsibilities include oversight of assigned staff and programs, supporting county and community-based initiatives, securing and maintaining funding, overseeing grant and contract deliverables, managing relationships with funders, ensuring program reporting requirements are met, and leading marketing efforts to ensure robust program participation.
The Issue Leader represents CCE Albany before the public, community leaders, government officials, Cornell University, and others. This position serves as a subject matter expert, proactively implementing programs based on the needs of the community and new or emerging energy and climate change issues.

Qualifications include a Master's degree plus four years related experience. A PhD may substitute for 2 years’ experience.All applications must be received on-line by 11:59 pm June 7, 2024. Position closing dates may change based on Association needs.
Compensation

This position is full-time, on-site, and exempt. Compensation is paid at the rate of $80,000 annually and includes 21 Vacation days, 14 Holidays, 3 Personal days and 12 Sick days annually. Excellent benefits package includes health insurance, free dental insurance, NYS Retirement (NYSLRS), and much more.
