Children’s Farm Camp Coordinator

Job Description: 

The Children's Farm Camp Coordinator (CFCC) will be responsible for day to day management and instruction of our week long summer day camps, for children ages 6-9. The CFCC will plan and lead farm based activities focusing on the children's vegetable garden, farm animals, soil & compost, insects, worms, art, stories, playing, and singing songs. The CFCC will assist in hiring, direct and over see any junior counselors. Office responsibilities include record management, purchasing supplies, and farm camp budget tracking. The Children's Farm Camp Coordinator is supervised by the Farm Manager. 

Qualifications: 

We are seeking a self motivated, enthusiastic person who has the gift to both inspire and teach young children in the natural world. We require that applicants have previous experience working with children and creating and implementing curriculum. Gardening or farming experience is helpful, but not required, as support and collaboration will be given by farm staff as needed. A good sense of humor and easy going nature is always helpful! 

Duration: 8 weeks 

Start Date: June 15, 2006 - flexible 

Hours: 30 hrs/week; M-Th 

Compensation: $500/wk; $4000/season
