Description
The Coalition for Clean Air (CCA) is an environmental non-profit organization dedicated to restoring clean, healthful to California.
Responsibilities:
* Work with Director and Senior Associate to implement effective and winning campaigns.
* Carry out grassroots organizing, media, and public education work on environmental campaigns.
* Arrange forums to raise awareness about environmental policy and legislative issues.
* Assist in building a strong network of participants in state environmental decision making.
* Conduct face-to-face meetings with a range of stakeholders.
* Coordinate and participate in meetings with elected and appointed officials.
* Assist in monitoring select legislative and regulatory agencies for public participation opportunities and in facilitating community stakeholder participation.
* Participate in organizational planning to develop new projects to expand the fundraising and programmatic capabilities of the Coalition for Clean Air.
* Conduct media interviews and educational presentations, as needed.
* Travel is required.
Skills/ Abilities:
* Minimum 1-2 years experience with issue campaigns and/or direct advocacy.
* Experience working on CA environmental issues a plus.
* Experience working in coalition with grassroots/community organizations.
* Bilingual a plus.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Strong office computer skills.
* Commitment to the mission of the Coalition for Clean Air.
* Demonstrated abilities to take initiative and to work in a team environment.

Salary range: $31,000 - $40,000/yr, plus benefits, DOE.
