The Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) at the University of Wyoming has a mission to advance the understanding and resolution of complex environmental and natural resources challenges. 

 

Position Overview

ENR invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor with expertise in natural resources science, management, and policy to enhance teaching and research in our interdisciplinary program.

Teaching duties associated with the Natural Resources Science position will include innovative, field and case-study based courses for undergraduate and graduate students, including those in an emerging mid-career graduate program. 


Qualifications

 

 

  • We seek candidates with a PhD in natural resources science or, environmental science, physical science, or similar discipline, and experience with the interface between natural resources science and management/policy.
  • The successful candidate will show demonstrated interest and excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. 
  • The successful candidate will have a track record of research, peer-reviewed publication, and experience with applied natural resource topics, particularly those relevant to the Rocky Mountain West.
  • S/he will also show a demonstrated interest in and ability to work on interdisciplinary teams to fund, conduct, and communicate policy-relevant research.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in effective science communication and outreach to both academic and non-academic audiences.
