Description
The U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, DC-based national nonprofit organization of over 5,500 corporate and organizational members that is dedicated to promoting environmentally-responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work, is currently seeking an Assistant for its Professional Accreditation program.
The Accreditation Assistantwill provide support, guidance, and administration for those seeking accreditation under the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System and continuing education, and support for the accreditation program and its committees.
Responsibilities Include:
- Counseling and assisting individuals through the process for accreditation and continuing professional development
- Maintaining accreditation records as well as candidate related documents and materials
- Preparing mailings of LEED Accredited Professional certificates and letters
- Maintaining inventories of collateral material and coordinating reprints as needed
- Providing logistical support for committee events and exam development sessions
- Assisting with Continuing Professional Development program
- Preparing letters, reports, presentations and assisting with surveying and industry research
- Other related tasks as assigned
- Must posses the sound judgment, professionalism, and reliability needed to support exam candidates and safeguard all confidential information
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
- General understanding of relational databases. (e.g., Access)
- Eye for detail and ability to quickly locate candidate records
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative skills
- Good grammar and proofreading skills
- Good people skills
- Ability to find solutions to difficult situations and respond in a timely and professional manner
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Detail-oriented and well organized with ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
