Established in 2004, Steven Kahle Architects, Inc (SKA Studio) provides master planning, interior, architectural and sustainable design services. The firm is dedicated to the pursuit of design excellence of which sustainable design is a core component. SKA is a member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Living Building Challenge Community. Recent project work includes Commercial, Institutional, Retail, and Residential projects.

SKA’s portfolio includes the design of over six million square feet of new building projects spanning the commercial, hospitality, residential, and renovation markets. Several of these projects have been recognized with design awards from well-respected organizations such as the American Institute of Architects, Washington Building Congress, and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.

Position Overview

Applicants for the Senior Project Architect role should be registered Architects having 5-15 years of experience in Architecture, and the organization and leadership skills to lead a multi-disciplinary project team in the design and documentation of large commercial projects. Applicants should have the ability to write, review and edit proposals; project schedules; specifications; and provide technical quality control oversight. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience developing and maintaining client relationships.

  • Demonstrated Experience as a Project Architect
  • Presentation skills
  • High level of capability with all aspects of Architectural design and documentation
  • Experience with Construction Administration
  • Experience with Specification writing
  • Team building and Leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative studio environment
  • Proficient in AutoCAD / Revit

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

License/Certification:

  • Architecture License (Preferred)
