Project Engineer

~ Terna Energy is a vertically organized Renewable Energy Sources company undertaking the Development, Construction, Financing, and Operation of renewable energy projects (wind, hydro, solar, biomass, waste management). ~

Terna Energy operates, is constructing or has full licensing RES installations in Europe and America. The Company is targeting, in the longer-term horizon, to reach almost 2,000 MW of RES projects in operation in all countries where it has selected to extend its activities.

Terna Energy is also active in international initiatives to further promote the use of RES. The company is also a member of the European Renewable Energy Federation (EREF). 

Position Overview

Terna Energy, seeks to hire a Project Engineer to join its team based in Athens reporting to the Project Managers and/or Head of Projects.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary Design, Detailed Design, Design optimization and preparation of the project’s basic Engineering documents
• Site surveys
• Cost control, budgeting, monitoring project budget
• Review of technical documentation, drawings etc
• Planning, create and update project schedule
• Preparation of Technical specifications for quatations and evaluation, request of proposals and coordinate construction tenders
• Construction, monitoring and supervision
• Risk and cost assessment during the construction process
• Construction contracts, interfaces and schedules, negotiations
• Contract management
• Technical & quality documentation
• Technical due diligence (familiar with fidic contracts)
• Operating recurring site visit verifying the quality and the compliance with design

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• 4-7 years in project management and/or construction, preferably in Renewables
• Proficient use of the English language (both oral & written)
• Report writing skills
• Familiar with PMI procedures

• Ability to work in teams or autonomously
• Work structured and systematic and have a consistent attention to detail, which enables you to meet deadlines
• Ready to work with cross functional teams
• Work in matrix structure
