Adjunct Faculty, Biology

~ The Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography (HCNSO) is one of the 17 colleges and schools of Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and is one of its four local campuses. ~

NSU’s 300 acre main campus is located in Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida. There are three other main locations: the Fort Lauderdale East Campus, the North Miami Beach Campus, and the Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography in Hollywood (mailing address Dania Beach).

Position Overview

• HCNSO of NSU is seeking adjunct faculty to teach for NSU.
• Teaching opportunities are available at our Main Campus, Oceanographic Campus, Regional Campuses, and Online.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct the assigned courses in a professional manner and being on time.
• Communicate with students and supervisor in a professional and timely manner.
• Report all grades, progress reports, etc. in a timely manner and in the format required by the university.
• Communicate with students the outcomes of their assessments and final grades.
• Provide copies of student work and grades to the supervisor when requested.
• Complete syllabi before required deadlines.

Marginal Job Functions:

• Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced degree (master's degree or beyond) in the discipline (biology).

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Knowledge of the subject of biology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience conducting classes in the field of biology.
