Position Overview
Anchor QEA, an environmental science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Junior-Level Engineer in our Maryland office location.
Qualifications
- This engineer will have 0 to 4 years’ experience working on sediment remediation, dredging, coastal projects or related industries.
- A B.S. degree in civil or environmental engineering, or related field, is required, a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and desire to work towards professional engineering (PE) licensure is also preferred.
- Hands on field investigation and/or construction experience are desirable.
- An understanding of or experience with contaminated sediments, river, and estuary restoration, dredging and disposal projects, production of design plans and specifications, construction cost estimating, as well as a familiarity with aquatic-based regulations and permits and port development, would be beneficial.
- A willingness to work on a variety of tasks, an ability to work independently, and strong written and verbal communication skills, are a must.
- Travel to temporary field assignments will be required and may involve out of state travel as we have projects across the United States.
