Position Overview
McKinstry is seeking a Director of Solar and Renewable Energy to join our national energy team. As the leader of our solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage business, you will be initially focused on developing and resource-managing McKinstry s long-term energy generation strategy. You will work closely with our executive teams and regional business leaders to develop strategies that will maximize solar penetration and market share within our national Energy and Technical Service vertical markets.
Responsibilities
- Business development analysis and market strategies for solar and storage products.
- New product development, specializations, and standards for storage technologies.
- Proposing strategic business structures & partnerships to enhance the Company s competitive advantages.
- Facilitating customer partner proposals for In Front of the Meter, Behind the Meter, solar and storage plus solutions.
- Negotiating and managing the execution of business captures via acquisition to promote the near, mid, and long-term success of McKinstry s Renewable Energy business.
- Develop McKinstry s brand with local and state government entities as a sustainability consulting and services leader committed to improving sustainability in existing buildings.
- Building and managing business lines and teams.
- You possess strong financial acumen and have experience building budgets, managing P&L s and have experience building complex project financial models in the solar space.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years of work experience within the solar and storage industry.
- Successful track record analyzing new market structures, cultivating relationships with clients, customers, and potential project partners, selling and developing work.
- Experience integrating/deploying storage equipment and interacting with storage related vendors, suppliers and customers.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to build complex project financial models.
- Knowledge of government energy initiatives preferred.
- Expertise in standards and legislation regarding energy initiatives.
