Position Overview
Education Coordinator/Aquatics Manger:
This extended seasonal position will assist the Director of Education with after school programs focused on natural sciences, serve as a field supervisor and aquatics manager for Summer Discovery Programs, be the primary teacher for the Naturalist Leadership Program for teens ages 13-16 years, and assist in education department tasks as needed.
Dates of Employment: April 16 – October 12, 2018
Compensation: $10,000 plus housing

Environmental Education Interns:
Capitalizing on the natural setting of Nantucket, interns gain valuable experience developing and implementing nature and science-based lessons for children ages 3.5 - 16 years. Program activities include snorkeling, kayaking, beach explorations, live animal programs, art projects, and more. Other responsibilities include assisting with special events and other facets of the Association’s operations.
Applicants must be at least 19 years old. Ideal candidates must be confident leading groups, initiating activities, working independently, and team-teaching. Applicants should be enthusiastic, flexible, willing to work long hours, be able to live and work well with others, and feel comfortable around the water. All applicants must be lifeguard, cpr, and first aid certified or willing to get their certifications prior to camp beginning. We are willing to reimburse you a portion of your certification costs.
Dates of Employment: 5/28 - 8/19/18
Compensation: $3000/summer plus housing
