Hain Celestial Announces Partnership With Madison Square Garden

SatCon Launches 500kw PV Inverter

SatCon Technology Corporation (Nasdaq NM: SATC), a developer and manufacturer of power electronics and motors for the alternative energy markets, announced it has launched its 500kW PowerGate(TM) inverter. This was one of SatCon’s major R&D milestones for 2006, and positions SatCon as the leading provider of high efficiency inverters for the rapidly growing solar markets. The 500kW AE-500-60-PV-A utility-grade PV inverter is listed to the UL 1741 Standard and received approval from the California Energy Commission (CEC). Schwallie Joins Distributed Energy's Management Team as CEO

The Board of Directors of Distributed Energy Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: DESC) announced it appointed Ambrose L. Schwallie as CEO and a director of the company. Mr. Schwallie comes to the company from Washington Group International (Nasdaq: WGII), an integrated engineering, construction, and management solutions company, where he served as president of its defense business unit. He is a 26-year veteran of Westinghouse Electric where he headed a business unit that was acquired by WGII in 1999. Distributed Energy was created in late 2003 when Proton Energy Systems acquired Northern Power Systems. Both Proton and Northern Power are leading developers of advanced energy technologies and services to the new energy marketplace. Walter W. “Chip” Schroeder, Distributed Energy’s president, continues as its president and a member of the Board of Directors. Seattle BioFuels Closes $7.5 Million Financing

Seattle BioFuels, Inc. announced it closed a $7.5 million Preferred Series A investment from leading venture investors including Nth Power, Technology Partners and Vulcan Capital. The financing will be used for national expansion, with plans to accelerate commercialization of innovative process technology, open a new biodiesel refinery and oil seed-crushing oil facility in the second half of 2006. Seattle BioFuels is a national leader in next generation biodiesel production technology delivering significant economic and quality improvements to the process. Seattle BioFuels has developed a proprietary Pulse Reactor, Active Methanol Recovery System, and an Adsorbent Enhanced Polishing Process along with other improvements to the Biodiesel production process. Safe Hydrogen Awarded $308,000

Safe Hydrogen, LLC. of Lexington, Mass has been awarded $308,000 from the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust SEED Program (Sustainable Energy Economic Development), a division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC). The funding represents the remaining costs of completing a three-year, $2.4 million technology demonstration project awarded to Safe Hydrogen by the U.S. Department of Energy. Safe Hydrogen began work on the project in April of 2004. Its objective is to confirm the functionality of, as well as to validate the cost and efficiency of, Safe Hydrogen’s proprietary compound to store, transport and generate hydrogen. Safe Hydrogen has developed a safe, pumpable hydrogen rich fuel that releases hydrogen as needed. The company is in the process of demonstrating this storage and distribution technology which eliminates several key road blocks to a hydrogen economy – storage safety, storage and distribution efficiency and need for a new infrastructure. The core ingredients of the pumpable chemical hydride slurry are environmentally friendly and completely recyclable.
