Evergreen Solar Announces Q2 2007 Results

Product sales were $13.4 million compared to $12.6 million in the first quarter of 2007 and $22.0 million in the second quarter of 2006, which included $10.7 million related to the sales of the EverQ joint venture, whose results were consolidated with Evergreen Solar until the ownership change in December 2006. Total worldwide sales of String Ribbon product were $44.7 million in the second quarter, which includes $31.3 million of sales generated by EverQ. EverQ’s new 60 MW facility had its first panel shipments late in the second quarter and is expected to reach full capacity by the end of 2007, as scheduled. Total worldwide sales of String Ribbon product were $40.2 million in the first quarter of 2007, including $27.6 million generated by EverQ. Gross margin was $3.4 million, or 22.3%, including fees of $2.0 million related to the marketing and sale of EverQ panels by Evergreen Solar and royalty payments for Evergreen Solar’s technology contribution to EverQ. Insituform Technologies, Inc. Reports Q2 2007 Results

Insituform Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq Global Select Market: INSU) has reported second quarter net income of $3.2 million, or $0.12 per diluted share, down from $5.5 million, or $0.20 per diluted share, earned in the year-earlier quarter. For the first six months of 2007, net income decreased $20.6 million, or 241.3%, to a loss of $(12.1) million, or $(0.44) per diluted share, from a profit of $8.5 million, or $0.31 per diluted share, in the first six months of 2006. The year-to-date 2007 results reflect after-tax charges of $11.8 million, or $(0.43) per diluted share, from the closure of the Company’s tunneling operation recorded in the first quarter of 2007. Enipower and UniCredit Banca Sign New PV Offer

Enipower has signed an agreement with UniCredit Banca for the launch of a new integrated photovoltaic energy offer. Enipower will offer its costumers the opportunity to buy and install photovoltaic plants financed through loans provided by UniCredit Banca. The offer will also include an adequate insurance coverage for the devices. Enipower will supply and install the photovoltaic plants and will support costumers obtainining the grants established by the decree issued on 19 February 2007 by the Ministry of Economic Development together with the Ministry of Environment. UniCredit will offer loans covering up to 100% of the cost of the plant which could be refunded in 20 years maximum through public grants. Padana Assicurazioni and HDI will provide theft and fire insurances and an insurance coverage in case of a power production stop. Through this operation Eni confirms its support to the development and dissemination of renewable energy sources continuing to promote environmental sustainability in the energy sector. In its 2007-2010 strategic plan Eni has devoted 350 million euro to investments in renewable energy projects, particularly in solar and biofuels. San Jose School District Signs Solar Contract with Chevron

San Jose Unified School District has entered into a unique partnership with Chevron Energy Solutions and Bank of America to establish what is believed to be the largest solar power and energy-efficient facilities program in K-12 education in the United States.
