EnerNOC, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENOC) signed a contract with Southern California Edison (SCE) (NYSE: EIX), to deliver its energy efficiency application to SCE customers.
As part of the contract, which runs through December 31, 2012, SCE will provide funding for EnerNOC’s EfficiencySMART Commissioning deployments at commercial and institutional customer sites. As a result, SCE customers will be offered metering and monitoring equipment, as well as the first year of energy efficiency data analytics and reporting, at a reduced cost.
EfficiencySMART Commissioning combines advanced metering technology with software to provide insights into facilities’ energy usage. EnerNOC analysts review energy savings opportunities identified by EfficiencySMART to deliver actionable, low- or no-cost recommendations that help customers reduce energy consumption, prioritize maintenance issues, and enhance occupant comfort.
By deploying EfficiencySMART Commissioning, participating sites can expect to achieve 10% or more savings on their total addressable energy expenditures, EnerNOC says.
EfficiencySMART Commissioning is part of EnerNOC’s EfficiencySMART suite of applications and services. The suite includes three products: Commissioning, initial and retro-commissioning services blended with real-time, persistent commissioning technology; Insight, web-based enterprise energy monitoring; and Services, energy engineering and project design.
