Innovalight has licensed another large solar manufacturer to use its proprietary silicon ink and processing technology for solar cells.
Innovalight, Inc. signed an agreement Taiwan’s Motech Industries, Inc., (6244.TWO) the largest solar cell manufacturer in Taiwan and one of the top ten
manufacturers worldwide in terms of production capacity and output.
Motech manufactures and markets single and multicrystalline silicon solar cells. The company reached a gigawatt in production capacity in 3Q10.
Innovalight manufactures a silicon ink and licenses a platform process, which the company says can upgrade solar cell manufacturing production lines to boost performance of solar cells and lower production costs.
Financial details of the agreement and manufacturing capacity were not disclosed.
Innovalight is based in Sunnyvale, California. The company also has manfuacturing agreements with JinkoSolar (NYSE: JKS), Yingli Green Energy (NYSE: YGE), and JA Solar (Nasdaq:JASO).
