Private Equity Firm Hudson Clean Energy Partners acquired a controlling interest in Green Campus Partners, LLC (GCP), a firm engaged in developiong and financing energy efficiency and distributed generation projects.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Green Campus Partners, based in Edison, NJ, was founded in 2009 by a group of experienced energy services and financial executives, including Bob Anderson (Honeywell Global Finance, Siemens Financial Services), Jim Thoma and Michael Horkey (Bank of America), and Jim Fuller (Siemens Financial Services).
GCP is an energy project development firm with expertise in strategic
planning, project management, performance contract financing,
federal ESPC financing, project finance and asset &
portfolio management. GCP
provides project finance capabilities, including
transaction structuring, primary capital investment and energy
capital markets expertise.
The company‘s development work concentrates on end?use clients with energy?intensive facilities, including government entities (federal, state and local), institutional clients (not?for? profit healthcare and higher education), and select commercial and industrial clients.

Hudson Clean Energy Partners has been on the move this year, funding acquisitions through their portfolio companies, including wind developer Element Power and solar wafer maker Calisolar. The moves have been supported by a $1 billion clean energy fund Hudson closed in December 2009.
