GE Tops Climate List

GE (NYSE: GE) bested Ford (NYSE: F) and Intel (Nasdaq: INTL) to take the top ranking on the Climate Innovation Index U.S. 100 for the second year in a row.

The index ranks U.S. companies on their efforts to control carbon emissions, combat climate change and profit on climate regulations, according to Bloomberg. 

Warren Buffet’s Bershire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-A) placed last on the list, which is produced by U.K. risk assessment company Maplecroft.

“Climate change is not just about managing risks and preparing for future regulations on carbon, but is also an opportunity to cut costs,” Maplecroft’s Dan Haglund told Bloomberg.
