Electric car maker Tesla Motors has raised by nearly 20% the number of shares it plans to offer when it begins trading on the Nasdaq Tuesday.
The company increased the initial public offering from 11.1 million shares to 13.3 million shares, perhaps suggesting better-than-expected interest from potential investors.
The final pricing of the shares is expected to be set later today, somewhere in the range of $14 to $16. If all of the shares sold at the midpoint of $15, the company would raise about $200 million.
