Yingli Green Energy To Supply Modules for French Solar Plant

China’s Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE:YGE) announced that it will supply photovoltaic solar moduels for a 33-megawatts (MW) power plant in Curbans, France.

Plant owner GDF Suez Group (GSZ.PA), said it will be the largest solar installation in the country, upon completion.

Maessa Telecomunicaciones, Ingenieria, Instalaciones Y Servicios, S.A. (Maetel), a Spanish EPC company which belongs to the industrial division of A.C.S. Group, will purchase the solar modules and build the plant.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Module deliveries will take place from October 2010 through the end of April 2011.

Yingli Green Energy currently maintains a production capacity of over 600 MW per year. Two capacity expansion projects of 300 MW and 100 MW are under construction in Baoding and Hainan, respectively, and are expected to bring Yingli Green Energy’s total capacity to 1 GW by the end of 2010.
