Canadian Auto Parts Companies To Benefit from Green Push

Canadian auto parts makers are set to benefit from a shift to greener vehicles, according to a Reuters story.

Magna International Inc (NYSE: MGA), Linamar Corp (LNR.TO), and Martinrea (MRE.TO) could benefit from their expertise in advanced powertrains and weight reduction, as struggling US automakers will have little capital for research and development of their own.

Shares of Linamar have risen nearly sevenfold in value since March; Martinrea shares have climbed five and a half times in value over the same period and Magna’s stock has doubled.
