Italian renewable energy developer Moncada Group is considering a 2012 initial public offering (IPO), according to a Reuters report.
The family owned business, based in Sicily, shifted its core business from construction to renewable energy several years ago, and has its sites set on becoming a much bigger player in the industry.
Going public could give the company a big cash infusion and add it to a relatively short list of publicly owned alternative energy developers in Italy, including Alerion (ARN.MI), ERG Renew (EGR.MI) and GreenVision (VIS.MI).
