The National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has released its analysis of the clean energy legislation passed by the House, asserting that is a "bargain," for U.S. Households.
“The American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES) is a win-win for our economy and our environment. Under ACES, there will be more green jobs, less global warming pollution and greater security, all for less than the cost of a postage stamp a day," Dan Lashof, Director of the Climate Center at the NRDC, said, echoing a statements made by federal officials.
"’A Clean Energy Bargain’ concludes that implementing ACES will cost American households an average of 25 cents per day. This is consistent with previous estimates from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration and the Congressional Budget Office," Lashof said in a statement.
The NRDC report analysis found that ACES will drive investments in clean energy and energy efficiency of more than $300 billion by 2030.
