Vancouver Requires Plug Access for EVs

Developers in Vancouver are now required to provide plug-ins for
electric cars under a new regulation approved by the city council last
Thursday.

The regulation requires charging acces for at least 20% of
parking spots at new condominium and apartment buildings, along with
some city-owned parking lots, according to a CBC report.

The council decided to double the original proposal, which
called for only 10%. The new regulation goes into effect in 18 months.

In April, BC Hydro announced that Mitsubishi Motors would begin testing its all-electric iMiEV vehicle in Vancouver by the end of the year.
