a+f GmbH, a Gildemeister Group company (GIL.DE), has concluded a new order for a total value of EUR 41.1 million to strengthen its presence in the Italian solar market.
Nine solar parks with an output of 1 megawatt (MW) each will be installed in Apulia in the next months. Southern Italy is regarded as a growing market in the solar business as the climate and policy conditions for operating photovoltaic plants are attractive.
After the Intersolar, the largest trade fair worldwide for solar technology, a+f GmbH said it received orders for its SunCarrier systems from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, India, China and Japan. In the future the US American market will also be interesting for the "SunCarrier".
Gildemeister has installed solar plants with total output of up to now 51 MW in Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and South Korea. Another 25 MW are currently under construction, the company said.
In addition to its SunCarrier photovoltaic systems, a+f GmbH also sells a tracking system called SkyCarrier.
