Acciona SA (ANA.MC) wants to borrow up to EUR 1.5 billion to buy renewable energy assest from Italian utility Enel SA (ENEL.MI), according to a Bloomberg report citing three unnamed sources.
The deal was agreed upon in February when Acciona sold Enel a 25% stake in Spanish power producer Endesa SA for EUR 11.1 billion. At that time Acciona committed to purchasing EUR 2.9 billion worth of alternative energy assets located in Spain and Portugal.
