Spire Corporation (Nasdaq: SPIR), a company providing turnkey solar factories and capital equipment to manufacture photovoltaic (PV) modules worldwide, announced that it has entered into a multi-year, multi-system contract to provide key module line equipment to Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL).
The length of the contract and financial terms were not disclosed.
Spire said it will provide Trina Solar with multiple Spi-Sun SimulatorTM 4600 Single Long Pulse (4600 SLP) systems. The 4600 SLP is a solar simulation system for research, testing and high volume production. The 4600 SLP has recently been selected for use at research and certification test facilities, such as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.
