South Korean Company to Build Polysilicon Plant

South Korean construction materials manufacturer KCC (002380.KS) plans to spend approximately $3.8 billion to build a polysilicon plant in Chungcheong Province, South Korea, according to Reuters.

The company submitted a filing to the Korea Exchange on Thursday indicating that it has signed a preliminary contract to build the facility, which will mark the company’s entrance into the photovoltaic solar industry.
