REpower Systems AG (RPW2.F) has received an order for the delivery of 100 wind turbines of the MM92 from U.S.-based enXco, a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles (EEN.PA).
The delivery of equipment for two planned wind farms in Washington state is to begin in 2Q09; completion is scheduled for the end of 2009.
The rotor blades will be produced in North America. These projects are part of an intercontinental delivery agreement which the third largest German wind turbine manufacturer concluded with EDF Energies Nouvelles in December of last year. This involves the delivery of wind turbines with a total power of up to 690 megawatts (MW) for various projects in Europe and the USA.
REpower has already cooperated with enXco for several US wind farm projects in California and Washington.
REpower Systems AG acquired a US subsidiary in Portland, Oregon in 2007.
