First Congressional Hearing on Obstacles to Wind Power

The U.S. Department of Energy recently released a report stating that 20% of the nation’s electricity suppply could come from wind by 2030. 

However, the biggest obstacle to achieving this supply is creating the transmission system to carry the power from the remote areas, where it is generally produced, to urban centers where it is most needed.
