Ersol Thin Film GmbH, a subsidiary of ersol Solar Energy AG (ES6.F), has signed a contract with Ralos Vertriebs GmbH for the supply of about 40 megawatts (MW) of thin-film modules. Amorphous thin-film modules are to be supplied to the German solar distributor over a period of three years from 2008.
"In Ralos we have found a highly experienced photovoltaics partner who specialises, amongst other things, in large open spaces and roof systems. The ersol Group was already familiar with Ralos as a reliable and competent partner through major projects with ersol trading subsidiary aimex-solar GmbH. The signing of the contract marks a new dimension in our relationship," says Peter Schneidewind, Board Member of ersol Solar Energy AG responsible for the thin-film activities.
Further contracts related to thinfilm modules activities are in the offing, as ersol Thin Film GmbH is currently engaged in negotiations with potential customers, the company said.
Earlier this week, Bosch (ZEZ.F) announced that it has initiated a public takeover of Ersol at a price of €101 per share.
