Sinia Renovables, the private equity subsidiary of Banco Sabadell SA (BDSB.DE) has acquired a 35% stake in Spanish renewable energy group Adelanta Corporacion, according to a report on Forbes.com. Financial details were not disclosed.
Adelanta and its subsidiaries have an installed capacity of 159 megwatts (MW) of wind and hydroelectric power, according to a Sabadell release, as well as a project portfolio representing another potential 1,000 MW.
Sabadell reiterated that it plans to invest 100 million euros 2008-2010 through its Sinia Renovables subsidiary.
