South Korean polysilicon maker DC Chemicals Co (KRX: 010060) announced it has received an order from Taiwan’s Wafer Works Corporation worth approximately $239.3 million.
The supply contract for polysilicon is for the period from January 2009 to December 2016, according to a filing to the Korea Exchange.
DC Chemical recently announced a supply agreement for the same period of time with Suntech Power Holdings (NYSE: STP) for approximately $631 million.
Wafer Works recently invested in Califoria-based Cleantech America, Inc., a developer of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar farms.
