The Bonneville Power Administration worked for more than a year to pin down a $0.68 per kilowatt month ($2.82 a megawatt hour) price tag it says reflects the cost of administering wind power in Oregon.
That figure identifies for the first time the cost of integrating intermittent wind power into the grid, they say, which means it will soon find its way onto customers’ bills.
