Suez Exec On Water Investments

Today is United Nations World Water Day. According to UN data, about a fifth of humanity lacks access to safe drinking water and 44% of the world’s population lives in areas affected by high water stress.

Jean-Louis Chaussade, chief executive of Suez Environnement, spoke with Reuters about how his division of French utility group Suez (SZEH5.PA) is investing in water plays. According to the report, Suez Environnement is the second largest business in the sector, behind French rival Veolia (VIE.PA).
