Capstone Partners with Two New Distributors

Capstone Turbine Corporation (NASDAQ:CPST), a leading manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, announced two new distribution agreements.

In the Southeast region of the U.S., including Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, Capstone will now now distribute its microturbine systems through Reagan Equipment Co.

Likewise, for all applications and market segments, the company has contracted with Proetel Ingenieros Asociados Cia. Ltda for distribution in Ecuador.

According to a release, Reagan Equipment was founded in 1946 as a machine shop servicing oilfield components through the 1960’s and 1970’s and developed an extensive branch network for fabricating power packages in the oilfield industry. Their installations include electrical power generation, oil field pumping, gas compression, sewage treatment, wastewater disposal, marine power generation and propulsion, as well as peak shaving, cogeneration, and chiller plants, including those fueled by alternative fuels such as landfill gas and digester gas.

Founded in 1999, Proetel specializes in the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power. It has developed thermo power generation projects in Ecuador, fueled by biogases from bio-digesters and landfills as well as wellhead gases from oil exploration.
