MTI MicroFuel Cells Inc., developer of fuel cell technology for handheld electronic devices and a subsidiary of Mechanical Technology Incorporated (MTI) (NASDAQ: MKTY) is looking to expand business relationships with OEMs and potential customers in Japan.
The company today announced the addition of Mr. Yasuo Mohri as a new independent business representative in Japan. Mr. Yasuo Mohri will work with the MTI Micro business development team to develop business opportunities with manufacturers of handheld, portable electronics in Japan.
According to the release, Mr. Yasuo Mohri has more than 15 years of experience working as an independent international business consultant with technology companies. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, he served as president of PCA International, a Charlotte, N.C.-based photography company, where he reorganized its Japanese operation. He also served in a number of senior leadership positions at several global companies such as Hitachi Ltd., Hitachi Maxell Ltd. and Mather & Platts Ltd. (currently owned by TYCO International).
