Consarc Corporation, an Inductotherm Group (IG) Company, has announced the formation of a new division dedicated solely to the Photovoltaic (PV) industry. Consarc, coordinated with the efforts of other IG companies, says it will apply its experience in advanced vacuum and controlled atmosphere furnace technologies to the mass production and processing of solar grade silicon.
Consarc’s new PV division will be located at their worldwide headquarters in Rancocas, NJ USA. With the coordinated efforts of the IG companies, Consarc says it owns and has the rights to a number of IG patents related to the melting, refining, solidification and heating of extremely pure alloys and semiconductors.
