Green Energy Resources (Other OTC:GRGR.PK), a wood biomass supplier to the power utility industry, has received a trial order of wood biomass for renewable energy consumption destined for Sweden.
The order, approximately 30,000 metric tons is, valued at approximately $1.6 million dollars and is scheduled for export in the fall of 2006. Successful shipment of the trial order will result in a 1-year supply option valued in excess $10.5 million dollars. The shipment will be delivered to the Stockholm region.
Sweden plans a new power generating plant near Stockholm in 2009. The new plant will require nearly 1 million tons annually in woodchips to operate the new power generating facility. Green Energy Resources has on going discussions regarding those supply options.
