MTI MicroFuel Cells Inc. (MTI Micro) signed an Early Adopter Alliance Agreement with a leading provider of Intelligence, secure communications systems, government services and homeland security in December.
“Mobion can offer advantages over batteries currently used by the military — such as lower weight, longer mission duration and easy recharge in the field,” said Juan Becerra, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at MTI Micro. “Under this agreement, we will be working with a leading supplier to the military to establish a number of product opportunities and prepare for penetration of this market.”
MTI Micro will work with the OEM to determine and evaluate the use and integration of MTI Micro’s Mobion technology into the OEM’s unattended ground sensor products. The two companies will cooperate on the demonstration of unattended ground sensor prototypes, identify military qualifications processes for any resulting products, and develop a market entry strategy for those products.
