Solartron Shares Surge 45% After IPO

Although The Stock Exchange of Thailand declined as a whole, shares of Solartron Plc surged 45% from its initial public offering price, on its first day of trading after its IPO.


Solartron shares opened the day at 8.5 baht and closed at a high of 11.60 baht on trade worth 2.52 billion baht. The company floated 80 million shares in its IPO at eight baht per share.


Wandee Khunchornyakong, Solarton CEO, noted that the shares were priced fairly which may have helped.


Solartron, a solar cell manufacturer, projects 30% revene growth this year.
