Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq: QTWW), subsidiary, Tecstar Automotive Group, has been awarded a contract for expanded parts distribution that will potentially generate up to $60 million in revenues over the next twelve months.
With demand for Tecstar products increasing, Tecstar will establish a California distribution center in addition to its Livonia, Michigan, location. Tecstar will use Quantum’s existing 5.2 acre Southern California facility located in Irvine to improve efficiency and leverage the synergies between the two companies.
Quantum is a leader in powertrain engineering, system integration and manufacturing of packaged fuel systems and accessories for specialty vehicles and applications including fuel cells, hybrids, alternative fuels, hydrogen refueling, new body styles, mid-cycle vehicle product enhancements and high performance engines and drive trains for OEMs and consumers of aftermarket parts and accessories. Quantum also designs and manufactures hybrid and fuel cell vehicles.
