The Energy Bill is moving quickly. The Energy Air Quality Subcommittee will hold a hearing on energy policy Feb. 10, expecting to move it to the floor by the week of February 14th.
Current thinking is that the House will move the H.R.6 conference report from last year with very few changes. This report includes a 15% solar residential tax credit. SEIA is working to increase it to 50%.
On the Senate side the energy bill is moving at a little slower pace. SEIA is hearing that markup may not occur until April, although there is a lot of work to do before hand. SEIA continues to focus its efforts on cultivating Republican champions in the Senate.
