The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) today announced that the U.S. ethanol
industry set an all-time monthly production record in May of 221,000 barrels
per day (b/d), according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information
Administration (EIA). May was the eighth consecutive all-time monthly
production record. Production was up 26 percent compared to last May when
175,000 b/d of ethanol were produced.
