Sharp Electronics, the U.S. sales and marketing subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, announced yesterday that it has signed agreements with leading homebuilders Clarum Homes and William Lyon Homes, Inc. to supply solar energy systems.
The deals are Sharp's first homebuilder contracts and will result in more than 250 new homes in two California community developments featuring Sharp solar electric systems. The two projects are expected to produce upwards of 580,000 kilowatts per year.
Clarum Homes contracted with Sharp to supply photovoltaic systems for 149 single-family homes and townhouses at Vista Montaa, California's largest Zero Energy home community located in Watsonville.
