Since I have no recollection of a resolution I’ve actually kept since I was a kid, I’m not sure I am the right person to tackle the whole New Year’s resolution discussion. But, everyone has accomplished specific goals, and if you look at New Year’s as a time to reassess what direction you’d like to be heading in, resolutions could be an effective personal growth tool for even a lapsed resolution keeper. Just the mere utterance of a resolution can send guilt and the fear of failure trampling all over your great intentions. I say, resolutions should not be the cause for imminent doom, and no unwritten guilt by association rule. Just go for it.
