One of the largest parking garage management companies in North America has signed on to provide electric vehicle (EV) charging services for their customers.
Ace Parking Management, based in California, signed an agreement with Miami-based Car Charging Group Inc. (OTCBB:CCGI) to provide the charging services.
Car Charging Group will install 240-volt charging stations at various Ace locations, powered by ChargePoint(R) Network, the largest network of independently owned charging stations in the world.
Car Charging Group will own the charging stations. Customers will pay to charge their vehicles, and the resulting revenue will be shared with Ace.
Ace Parking manages over 450 parking applications in nine states, servicing 200,000 people a day. Their clients include office, retail and mixed-use projects, hotel and valet services, airport parking and shuttles, stadium, arena and event parking, and hospitals and medical centers.
Installing EV charging stations is one of the company’s green parking initiatives. Other initiatives include solar trees, discounted parking for hybrid cars, solar-powered parking equipment, green-fueled shuttle buses, green carwashes and energy efficiency and water conservation.

Car Charging Group is developing a nationwide EV charging infrastructure so that EV and PHEV owners can charge their vehicles anytime, anywhere. They install and maintain charging stations customer-friendly public locations, including municipalities, shopping malls, parking garages, multi-family residential and commercial properties.
The company launched nationally in 2009 and wants to expand internationally.
